I am a great fun of coffee and like it in many way but for me the coffee has to be strong or an "expresso".

We are from diferent countries with diferent customs.

10.45pm here , having a cafietere of coffee , very strong have a child with an ear infection and have to stay up checking her temp. god they interfere with my social life. (oldest one not feeling very well either, oh joy lol), youngest child thinks thier wimps, she's in the living room watching her 'husband' wesley snipes in a (whisper it) film. On days like this I like to make what I call "Lightning in a bottle". Basically I make a pot of strong coffee, let it cool, pour into a cheap coffee maker instead of water, add fresh grounds and brew it *again*; think: doppelbrau. When done, immediately pour into thermos or other storage medium but before you put the lid on, throw a handful of your favorite beans into the bottle and close it up. By the time you get to work, the stuff in the bottle will either start or stop your heart.

@those who want the recipe:
Let me dig it up. It is buried in a box left over from the last move of house. However, it starts with home-made Kahlua ;) When I find it I will post it. It is really economical because you can make it by the gallon jug and thats got nothing but "good" written all over it ;)

This is similar to what I remember of the recipe for economical irish cream, except I know in my recipe, I replace the chocolate syrup with home-made Kahlua:
1 cup light cream
1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
1 2/3 cup Irish Whiskey
1 teaspoon instant coffee
2 tablespoons chocolate syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon almond extract

Just mix it up, store it in bottles/jugs, keep refrigerated. Keeps up to 2 months, like you will wait that long to drink it.

I am addicted to hazelnut coffee with whipped cream in it.I take the whipped cream and fill the cup half way,add a little skim milk and whip it together,then I warm the mixture in the micro,then I add the fresh brewed coffee,sit by the lake and listen to the Loons and the occasional seaplane.

Hazelnut is the flavor,they add the essence and roast the beans.
Hazelnuts are very tasty,they grow in abundance where I live. And yes,my coffee has a "cappucchinoish similarity"LOL

i like my coffee in my own cup and nice and strong. (not instant, weak and in a polystyrenee cup from a tent) no hookup at the show = no coffee maker in the horsebox., and it rained so no sitting in the sun with a cafieter. Waiting for the gaggia to fire up now lol

tonight i wil have some tia maria to send me to sleep.

@windsor I'm a 'my own cup' person too,but I clean it meticulously,I'm not one of the 'do not wash-leave the stain on cos it makes it taste better' types. lol

Tomorrow I will hit the road, so I still have a lot of things.

I will do a fresh coffee now and will leave it on my kitchen's table. The door is open for the friends. Just enter and help yourselves! :^P
